That’s a Wrap for Paul Bettany on the Young Han Solo Prequel Movie
Relief director Ron Howard ushered in the arrival of Paul Bettany to a galaxy far, far away, so it is fitting that he’s the one that ushers him out again. A little over two weeks after announcing that Bettany had joined the cast of the as-yet-untitled Young Han Solo prequel movie, Howard tweeted a heartfelt farewell to the English actor in a room filled with crazy stuff including what appears to be a fawn on its hind legs in a bubble. Yay, practical effects!
Had to say goodbye to my friend @Paul_Bettany today. Another terrific performance from a world class talent. pic.twitter.com/6jkNKQNQZZ

Lawrence and Jon Kasdan wrote the script, which focuses on the formative years of the young smuggler and scoundrel (Alden Ehrenreich), his gambling buddy (Donald Glover) and a big walking carpet who owes him a life debt (Joona Suotamo). Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Emilia Clarke and Pheobe Waller-Bridge also star.
The Untitled Han Solo movie is slated for release on May 25, 2018.
I wonder if Bettany is replacing Michael K. Williams…
That’s a good question. It’s too bad Williams was busy when it came time for reshoots. He improves everything he is in.
