Major Marvel Villain Revealed in Final Trailer for Venom: The Last Dance

In keeping with previous releases, the final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance focuses on the (no pun intended) symbiotic relationship between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and the alien symbiote known as Venom and just how “attached” we have all become to the odd couple. Unlike previous media, however, this trailer finally reveals the “big bad” of it all and he is a heavy-weight: Knull, elder god creator of the symbiotes, the King in Black!

This might be the only chance to see the character on the big screen — unless Marvel and Sony can work out some sort of rights-sharing deal, like they have with Spider-Man — but we have already seen Knull’s weapon in the MCU: the Necrosword wielded by Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) was created by Knull using the power of a decapitated Celestial. Hopefully, Knull gets his due and the franchise lives on so we can see more of the King in Black and Venom’s homeworld.

Eddie Brock and his symbiote partner, Venom, face their greatest challenge yet when a new, powerful threat emerges. As they navigate the dark underworld of their city, Eddie and Venom must confront their own demons and push their limits to protect those they care about. Their bond is tested like never before, leading to a climactic showdown that will determine their fate and the future of their symbiotic relationship.

The movie was written and directed by Kelly Marcel, who wrote the script for the previous installment, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Juno Temple, Andy Serkis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Graham and Rhys Ifans star.

Venom: The Last Dance explodes into theaters on Oct. 25th!
