Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Poster Wants Revenge Plus Another Look at “Dark Rey”

With just nine days (now eight) before the release in theaters of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga spanning nine films, Disney and Lucasfilm have released yet another “inspired by” poster, this time a teaser that pays homage to a rarely seen gem from the ’80s, the one-sheet for Revenge of the Jedi, the original title of Return of the Jedi, before creator George Lucas realized that Jedi do not seek revenge.

Additionally, a new TV spot has been released that gives us a quick-cut look at some of the insane action in store for us in the final chapter and another tantalizing look at “Dark Rey.” Has Rey gone to the dark side? Is she merely a vision, like Luke’s vision of himself wearing Vader’s armor in the cave on Dagobah? Or, is it something else entirely, perhaps a clone of Rey to bring the saga full circle back to prequel trilogy? We will know in nine (eight) days!
