Valiant Comics has just secured yet another deal to produce a live-action movie based on one of their comic book properties, once again with Sony Pictures. According to Deadline, the story of Valiant’s plus-size superhero “Faith” is being developed as a feature film, with Maria Melnik (Starz’s American Gods) hired to pen the script. Faith joins another Valiant property in development at Sony, Bloodshot, about a mortally wounded soldier given extraordinary abilities that has Vin Diesel attached in the title role. Valiant is also pursuing a Harbingers movie, about a group of powered teens on the run, and a rumored Eternal Warrior movie, about an immortal defender of Earth, starring Dave Bautista.
Here is the synopsis and some sample pages from Faith #1 (2016) by Jody Houser, Pere Perez and Marguerite Sauvage.
