New Movie Posters: Ralph is Confused and Alita is Ready for Battle

Alita: Battle Angel

Originally slated to be released this past July during Comic-Con, Robert Rodriguez‘s adataption of the popular Battle Angel Alita manga by Yukito Kishiro, was pushed back to Valentine’s Day 2019 to give movie fans unfamiliar with the character time to fall for the big-eyed cyborg in time for the lover’s holiday (actually, it probably has to do more with the fact that James Cameron is involved and we all know what a stickler he is for next-level CGI). The new movie poster offers us nothing more than the knowledge that the aforementioned CGI has advanced to the point where we can discern pores in Alita’s “skin,” and that she is ready to do some battle, as her name implies.

Alita: Battle Angel was co-written byCameron and Laeta Kalogridis. The cast includes Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein and Jackie Earle Haley.

The movie opens in theaters on February 14, 2019.

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Just as destructive, but far less bloody and more family-friendly, Ralph (John C. Reilly) joins Alita as an animated movie character with a new movie poster, though he is far less in-your-face; in fact, he pretty much takes a back seat on the new movie poster to Shank (Gal Gadot) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman)
Ralph Breaks the Internet was directed by Rich Moore (Zootopia,Wreck-It Ralph) and Phil Johnston (co-writer Wreck-It Ralph, co-writer Zootopia). Additional voice talents include Taraji P. Henson as Yesss, and a bevy of Disney Princesses: Kristen Bell (Anna in Frozen), Auli‘i Cravalho (Moana), Kelly Macdonald (Merida in Brave), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in Tangled), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana in The Princess and the Frog), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), Linda Larkin (Jasmine in Aladdin), Paige O’Hara (Belle in Beauty and the Beast) and Jodi Benson (Ariel in The Little Mermaid).

Ralph breaks his way into movie theaters on November 21st.
