The Knights of Ren Revealed in First TV Spot for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

We recently got some epic character posters and some just okay magazine covers and posters in Empire’s collector’s edition, but it’s new footage from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that we are all dying to see. Disney finally obliged by releasing the first TV spot for Episode IX. And, while the TV spot only contains a few new snippets of film, it does give us a daytime reveal of the much-talked-about Knights of Ren, who were briefly glimpsed in The Force Awakens, but who failed to materialize in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We also get a cool shot of a Jet Trooper doing his best Boba Fett impression.

The saga will end, the story lives forever… The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more as Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron’s (Oscar Isaac) journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was written (with Chris Terrio) and directed by J.J. Abrams. Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Billie Lourd and Joonas Suotamo reprise their roles from The Last Jedi, joining series veterans Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels and Carrie Fisher. Joining the cast are Keri Russell, Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens on December 20th.
