New Trailer Offers Best Look Yet at the Creature in The Shape of Water [NSFW]
In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation during Cold War era America circa 1962. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.
Guillermo del Toro directed The Shape of Water and co-wrote (with Vanessa Taylor) the screenplay from a story he wrote. Michael Shannon, Doug Jones, Richard Jenkins and Michael Stuhlbarg also star.
The movie opens on December 8th.
This is icky. The whole fish man-sex-with-human-woman thing is gross. Please stop, Guillermo. And why can’t we just say that this is an Abe Sapien movie, because it so obviously is.
Agreed. I don’t know why now is the right time for fish sex. Blech. And, yeah, he says that he was inspired by ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon,’ but, come on, he directed two movies starring a sophisticated fish man in the Hellboy movies and that’s NOT where you got the idea from? Right.
