The return of Harley Quinn and the introduction of her new gal pals is more than a year away, but with Aquaman already receding into the depths of the super hero box office doldrums of winter, we were all in need of a little pick-me-up and that’s exactly what we got, with a one-two punch of DCEU goodness.
Ms. Quinzel herself, Margot Robbie, tweeted a saucy first look at Harley’s fabulous new outfit from director Cathy Yan‘s wordy Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) with the simple caption: “Miss me? 💋HQ.”
Shortly thereafter, the YouTube channel CheekySneakyPeeky posted a short teaser clip that reveals quick flashes of Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), as well as villains Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina) and the big, bad Black Mask (Ewan McGregor). There’s also a flash of another female character sporting yellow and wielding a bat that might just be Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl.

Formerly titled Gotham City Sirens, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) was written by Christina Hodson. It is slated to open in theaters on February 7, 2020.
