Determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
Zack Snyder directed Justice League from a script by Chris Terrio, from a story he wrote with Terrio. The super cast includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Willem Dafoe as the Atlantean Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as the Amazon Queen Hippolyta and Jared Leto as the Joker.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuts streaming on HBO Max on March 13th.
Obviously, they have the wrong release date on them, but these black-and-white posters were released exclusively for Snyder’s cut and feature Superman in his black “shroud” costume. It’s notable that Snyder consistently releases teaser images in black and white — from the first reveal of Affleck in the bat-suit, to these “Snyder Cut” posters, to the recent reveal of Leto’s Joker.
