Wonder Woman Passes Iron Man 3 at the Domestic Box Office
Despite the summer movie season closing out with the worst Labor Day weekend box office take in 17 years, the $2.5 million earned by Patty Jenkins‘ Wonder Woman pushed the movie’s domestic take to $409 million in its 10th week in release, passing Spider-Man, The Hunger Games, Captain America: Civil War and Iron Man 3 along the way. That makes Wonder Woman, currently the #2 movie of 2017 domestically, North America’s 20th highest-grossing movie and 5th highest-grossing superhero movie of all time.
Patty Jenkins directed the movie from a script by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns. Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Lucy Davis star.
