Jude Law Berates Himself in Deleted Scene from Captain Marvel; Plus, Spot the Real Goose in BTS VFX Video
With Captain Marvel starting to show up for rental on streaming platforms and at Red Box, Marvel Studios is releasing some deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and other goodies to entice fans to go out and pick up the movie on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD. In one deleted scene, we get to see what Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) went through when he connected with the Supreme Intelligence, the nigh-omnipotent A.I. ruler of the Kree Empire that appears to those who interact with it as the person they admire the most. In this case, Yon-Rogg sees himself in what co-director (with Ryan Fleck) Anna Boden calls “one of those delicious after scenes.”
In an excellent — and lengthy — BTS video, Visual Effects Supervisor Christopher Townsend goes through the process of morphing Ben Mendelsohn‘s Talos from one form to another and making Brie Larson‘s Brie Larson’s “Binary” superpowers unique, distinctive and “naturalistic” (1:40). There’s even a little Goose the Cat in there for the die-hard fans of this surprisingly popular addition to the MCU.
Captain Marvel was written by Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch. Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury, with Djimon Hounsou reprising his Guardians of the Galaxy role as Korath. Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte and McKenna Grace and also star.
