Artwork from Deadpool’s First Comic Book Appearance Up for Auction

The roller coaster ride of Rob Liefeld‘s fame is on an upswing once again thanks to his involvement in the co-creation (with Fabian Nicieza) of Deadpool and the creation of the Merc with a Mouth’s (Ryan Reynolds) new partners in Deadpool 2, X-Force. Liefeld is constantly hyping the new movie and his creations and was even asked to contribute this new poster for the movie:

If you have more than $30,000 to spare, you can be the next highest bidder of this piece of original comic book art from Deadpool’s first appearance in New Mutants #98 (1991).

Deadpool 2 was directed by David Leitch (John Wick) from a script by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Reynolds and Drew Goddard. The cast includes Zazie Beetz as Domino, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Stefan Kapacic as Colossus, with Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Shioli Kutsuna, Karan Soni and Jack Kesy in supporting roles.
