There was action in most of the previous promotional materials for Marvel’s new 6-episode Disney+ streaming series, but it was mostly lighthearted, with the emphasis on the “buddy cop” dynamic between Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). The new trailer, however — the final one before the series premiere on March 19th — has a much more serious tone, with more dramatic music, and it features quite a few sneak peeks at some of the costumed villains the pair will be facing in the wake of Captain America’s (Chris Evans) departure into the past at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
The series was created by Malcolm Spellman, who was also head writer, and directed by Kari Skogland. Returning to the MCU for the series are Daniel Brühl as Zemo and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, with Wyatt Russell as John Walker.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts on Disney+ on March 19th.
