Captain America’s Absence is Felt in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Clips

We’ve all had a pair of friends that we got along with individually, but who didn’t get along with each other when brought together. It makes for a challenging dynamic whenever the three of you got together, typically with one of both of them jockeying for position as the “better” friend. Fortunately for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), who escaped into the past at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, he no longer has to deal with such tension when his best buds, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) become “coworkers” in their new six-episode Disney+ series.

A pair of new clips from the series showcases that lasting tension, with Stan saying about the series:

We’re going to explore where these two guys left off, with one big character missing — the prominent figure that brought them into each other’s lives. Where are they, and how are they coping with the world?

The series was created by Malcolm Spellman, who was also head writer, and directed by Kari Skogland. Returning to the MCU for the series are Daniel Brühl as Zemo and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, with Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts on Disney+ on March 19th.
