First SHAZAM! TV Spot Shows Us the Ultimate Fanboy Dream Come to Life
The first TV spot for SHAZAM! makes good on the Superman-meets-Big description, showing us exactly what we would expect might happen when a fanboy living in a world with real superheroes actually gets powers of his own. Oh, yeah, and it also reveals that Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong) is a far more dangerous opponent than he ever appeared to be in the comics on which the movie is based.
SHAZAM! was directed by David Sandberg (Lights Out), from a script by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. Zachary Levi stars as Shazam, with Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Ron Cephas Jones as the Wizard. Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans also star.
SHAZAM! opens in theaters on April 5, 2019.
I used to love Chuck and I like the vibe of this. I’m in!
I was late to the whole “Chuck” party, but I did end up catching it after it was on Netflix and it was solid. I think this movie looks great! Another step in the right direction for WB/DC.
