Sony Eyeing David S. Goyer to Direct Live-Action He-Man Adaptation

Sony is hoping that the man who resurrected the Batman and Superman franchises with his screenplays for The Dark Knight and Man of Steel can do the same thing for another muscle-bound hero in need of a makeover. According to The Wrap, the studio is in talks with David S. Goyer to direct a live-action update of Masters of the Universe, the 1980s cartoon and toy juggernaut that told the adventures of Prince Adam, who becomes the super-powered hero He-Man to protect his home planet of Eternia from the evil machinations of Skeletor and his minions. Goyer also wrote the most recent draft of the script.

Sony has already slated Masters of the Universe for a December 18, 2019.
