Marvel Movie Nooz: Ant-Man 3 Gets the Rick and Morty Treatment, Plus RDJ B-Day Wishes

There isn’t very much in the way of movie news these days. Uncertainty over the severity and duration of the coronavirus pandemic and its effect on movie theaters has already forced studios to delay, cancel and shift-to-streaming the release of dozens of movies, as well as put dozens more movie productions on hiatus until social distancing restrictions abate.

Of course, writers pretty much lead a life of isolation and seclusion already, which is likely the reason why our first Marvel Studios news in some time has to do with the hiring of a screenwriter. According to THR, Marvel has tapped Jeff Loveness, one of the creative minds behind Cartoon Network’s Rick and Morty, to write the sequel to Ant-Man and the Wasp. There is no production start date. Peyton Reed is expected to return as director, with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope Pym/Wasp, respectively.

And, because it is such a slow news cycle, here are some birthday shout-out tweets to Iron Man himself, Robert Downey, Jr., from Chris EvansMark RuffaloJeremy Renner and other members of his Marvel family to brighten your day:
