While it had a much more diminished presence at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con than it has in, well, maybe forever, Marvel still maintained a massive booth near the center of the convention room floor. While there were very few professionals to be found for autographs, interviews, or drawing lessons, as in years past, Marvel did scour the floor to find the best Marvel cosplayers and have them display their costumes for the crowds.
Celebrating 60 years of The X-Men, hosts Ryan Penagos (@agentm) and Ray Lowe (@rayasunshine) kicked off the event with, fittingly, cosplayers in X-themed costumes (Gambits strictly prohibited!). Then, Mikey Trujillo (@mikeytrujillo) and Langston Belton (@langstonbelton) hosted an Avengers-themed exhibition to mark 60 years of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!
Gathering from all corners of the Marvel universe, cosplayers arrived ready to represent their favorite Marvel characters. The floor of the San Diego Convention Center was alive with excitement as cosplayers and fans posed together for photos. Both creativity and skill were on full display as onlookers admired the details in each costume.
