Jamie Lee Curtis Returns to Close Out the Halloween Franchise
Jamie Lee Curtis will return in the “final film” in the Halloween movie franchise, joining Linda Hamilton in her return to the Terminator franchise. Now, we just need Sigourney Weaver to return to Alien (hint, hint, Ridley Scott) and we will have a full badass female character revival trifecta!
Curtis tweeted, “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues,” which is what genre movie fans have been wanting from their franchises lately: nostalgia and authenticity.
"Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18." pic.twitter.com/IvptiZctyw

Franchise creator John Carpenter is back as an executive producer and creative consultant to horror producer Jason Blum (Get Out) and he’s promised “to help to try to make the 10th sequel the scariest of them all.” David Gordon Green (All the Real Girls) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride.
Very cool! I definitely agree with the nostalgia part that she said. On a side note, I recently found out, being born in 1983, that I am a millennial? Fudge me, keebler.
Sure this is the last one. Sure. I’ll take that bet. But, cool that Curtis is back. And, yes, good call on the Curtis-Hamilton-Weaver trifecta of fem-power!
