The man/god/trickster/frost giant we all love to hate disappeared during the Avengers’ “time heist” in Avengers: Endgame and Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) new self-titled Disney+ series aims to answer the question of where — or when, apparently — Thor’s adopted brother went. The new extended clip released in conjunction with Disney’s investor day presentation shows that Loki bounced around from place to place, time to time, eventually falling into the custody of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an organization ripped from the pages of Marvel comic books that attempts to police the multitude of realities comprising the multiverse.
Loki was created and written for Disney+ by Michael Waldron, with Kate Herron directing. Owen Wilson, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Wunmi Mosaku also star.
The series will begin streaming on Disney+ in May 2021.
