Forget the Batman Cameo, Deathstroke is Getting His Own Movie!

One of the things that really had us bummed out about Ben Affleck‘s The Batman falling apart piece by piece by piece was the thought that we might never get to see the Caped Crusader taking on Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke the Terminator, one of the baddest villains in any universe and the inspiration for Wade Wilson/Deadpool. Affleck teased the inclusion of the mercenary and assassin with superhuman strength, agility, durability and regenerative abilities in his standalone Batman movie when he posted test footage of Joe Manganiello in a pretty kickass Deathstroke costume back in August 2016; however, his removal as writer and director of the movie left ol’ Slade Wilson’s big screen debut in doubt.

Now, however, we have some of the best news coming out of Warner Bros. in some time, courtesy of TheWrap:

What this means for writer-director Matt Reeves‘ The Batman is unknown, but handing a character with so much potential to a capable action movie director like Gareth Evans is a huge step forward for Warner Bros. and great news for comic book movie fans.
