Thrilling First Trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther Introduces Us to the Wonders of Wakanda
Black Panther follows T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who, after the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story), Black Panther also stars Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis, Martin Freeman, Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett and Academy Award-winners Lupita Nyong’o and Forest Whitaker.
Black Panther is slated to open on February 16, 2018.
Wow! Looks really cool!
I never read BP comics, but if they were like what I see in this trailer, maybe I should have. Looks like a totally distinct world from the Iron Man world, sorta like Asgard is to Thor. But with Panthers.
Good to see Serkis getting some actual face time instead of just mocap-face time. 😉
BP! Wuh-wuh! Knocking down rox blox gonna grind and terry it up!
Agreed, this looks excellent! A whole new world for the Marvel characters to play in. Good comparison to Asgard. I wonder if they’re going to address why Wakanda watched as aliens and robots attacked the rest of the world in Avengers 1 & 2.
