Step aside, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), there’s another fourth wall-breaking superhero coming to live action! In the new trailer for Marvel’s Disney+ streaming series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, we learn that, yes, the CGI has improved since the first trailer, but also that the first live-action version of Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) will be able to break the fourth wall just like her comic book counterpart. And, no, She-Hulk is not ripping off Deadpool; she has been doing it in the pages of Marvel Comic Books since John Byrne‘s The Sensational She-Hulk debuted in 1989!
If that wasn’t enough of an attention-getter for you, the new trailer also features a quick look at the new MCU-version of Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil! Initially appearing as lawyer Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Cox appears in the MCU as costumed crimefighter Daredevil for the first time in the She-Hulk series. He appears to be wearing a dark-toned version of his original yellow-and-black costume from the comic books, a look not previously shown in the Netflix series.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
The series was directed by Kat Coiro (Episodes 1 – 4 & 8 – 9) and Anu Valia (Episodes 5 – 7) with Jessica Gao as head writer. In addition to Mark Ruffalo returning as Professor Hulk, Tim Roth makes his long-awaited return as Emil Blonsky, aka the Abomination, with Benedict Wong appearing as Wong. Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Jameela Jamil and Jennifer Booth also star.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ on August 17th.
