Stunning New Character Posters for Captain Marvel Plus Brie Larson Getting Superhero Fit
It’s no understatement to say that the fourth and possibly final Avengers movie – at least, this iteration of the team that we have been following for the past ten years – is the most highly-anticipated Marvel Studios movie to date, but anticipation is also very high for Captain Marvel, the first new superhero franchise since Black Panther, and the first to star a female lead, especially considering Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) seems to think Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) is going to save the day. To get us even more excited about her arrival, Marvel has released ten new character posters giving us our best look yet at Captain Marvel and her Earth and Kree friends and enemies, as well as a couple theater format exclusives.
Just so you don’t think everything you see on screen is CGI, Larson has shared this video of herself getting superhero fit.
Captain Marvel was directed by the team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississipi Grind), from a script they wrote with Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch. Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou reprise their Guardians of the Galaxy roles as Ronan the Accuser and Korath. Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, and Jude Law also star.
Captain Marvel opens in theaters on March 8, 2019.
