Marvel Movie Nooz: Wasp Almost Appeared in Civil War and Marvel Your Walls
Ant-Man and The Wasp
After losing so many of our favorite heroes (and Loki) in Avengers: Infinity War, it was a nice treat to be have a new hero to cheer for when Ant-Man and the Wasp came out a month later and introduced us to Hope van Dyne’s (Evangeline Lilly) new battle-ready alter-ego, the Wasp. Hope was originally going to suit up to fight alongside Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) on Team Cap in Captain America: Civil War, according to Andy Park, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development and concept artist on Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-Man & the Wasp and Captain Marvel, who posted a piece of concept art based on the original script showing Wasp in action.
Some of you may know I did a whole bunch of keyframe illustrations based on an early script draft of Civil War. Wasp was at one point going to make her debut in this movie. It was fun but I’m glad they held out to properly introduce her in #AntManandtheWasp @EvangelineLilly pic.twitter.com/NZjoO3W75W

Wasp will next appear in Avengers 4, slated for a May 3, 2019 release.
