First Official Look at Zachary Levi in His Shazam! Super-Suit
The grainy, out-of-context and with no Hollywood razzle-dazzle, photos of Zachary Levi in costume as Captain Marvel, er, Shazam, on the set of David Sandberg‘s (Lights Out) Shazam! failed to impress enough internet denizens that the actor took to Instagram to defend his super-suit, calling it “f*cking bomb.” Now, thanks to the Licensing Expo 2018 at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas, we can all judge the costume for ourselves as a huge marketing poster was unveiled, and shared by Levi, that gives us our first official look at the New 52-inspired costume
Shazam! was written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. The cast includes Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Mark Strong as Dr. Thaddeus Sivana and Ron Cephas Jones as the Wizard, with Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans.
The movie opens in theaters on April 5, 2019.
