‘Ever Wonder?’ About that Teaser Trailer Before Wonder Woman

Select audiences who went to see Wonder Woman on opening weekend were shown a short teaser trailer for a mysterious movie that seems to have something to do with the Amazon Princess and it’s now been released online. In fact, the teaser has everything to do with Wonder Woman considering that it is about the man who created her, psychologist William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the polygraph machine (seriously).

The movie, titled Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, will be distributed by Annapurna Pictures and stars Luke Evans in the title role. Based on the suggestive artwork in the promotional comic book page, it looks as if director Angela Robinson (True Blood, The L Word) will delve into the more controversial aspects of Marston’s lifestyle, from his interest in bondage to his supposedly polyamorous relationship with his wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston (Rebecca Hall) and Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote).

How batshit crazy is it that the guy who invented the lie detector also created Wonder Woman and her lasso of truth? Life is stranger than fiction sometimes.
