We’ve heard bits and pieces about co-writer (with Fred Dekker) and director Shane Black‘s (The Nice Guys) new Predator movie beyond that it will take place “in suburbia” and focus on “a little boy and his dad,” but the official synopsis for the movie has finally been released and it reveals that we will be seeing new and improved Predators, thanks to some genetic engineering:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The cast of Predator includes Jacob Tremblay, Trevante Rhodes, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, Yvonne Strahovski, Boyd Holbrook, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, Alfie Allen and Thomas Jane.
The movie is slated to open on September 14th.
