NASA Has Advice for Rescuing Tony Stark from His Fate in the Avengers: Endgame Trailer

After leaving us feeling gut-punched walking out of the theater after Avengers: Infinity War, we were really hoping to see a glimmer of hope for our favorite heroes in the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame. Alas, we were merely shown glimpses of depressed Avengers and Guardians after an extended shot of a resigned Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), adrift in space, as he sends a desperate final message to Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) through his fractured Iron Man helmet as his oxygen and power run out.

We’re not sure who on Earth is left to perform a search and rescue mission for Tony, but NASA was nice enough to tweet out a quick tip to Marvel about how to find him.

A sharp-eyed viewer of the tweet pointed out that one of the placards at the far end of the room reads “Thor” and has a toy of Mjolnir next to it, but NASA responded that the God of Thunder does not work for NASA, but said, “The THermal Operations and Resource (THOR) officer is truly one of Mission Control’s mightiest heroes. They ensure the operation of multiple Space Station subsystems which collect, distribute & reject heat from critical equipment and payloads for the success of the mission.” It’s good to know that even rocket scientists like their superheroes!

Marvel has not shared an official synopsis or even cast list for Endgame yet.
