Released as part of the April 26th “Alien Day” celebrations — the date references the colonial moon LV-426 from James Cameron‘s Aliens — Twentieth Century Fox has gifted us a short prologue to Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant titled “The Crossing” that shows what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and the android David (Michael Fassbender) after the events in Prometheus. The prologue also sheds some light on that cryptic still image of imminent global destruction that was recently released.
The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
Alien: Covenant also stars Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo and Guy Pearce.
The movie is slated for release on May 19, 2017.
