Sorry, Chris Pine, Harrison Ford Says Indiana Jones Dies With Him

In an interview primarily about his taking part in The Secret Life of Pets 2, his first animated feature, legendary actor Harrison Ford offered up little about Indiana Jones 5, which Disney has slated for a July 9, 2021, release, other than to say that the character is “in here somewhere” and that he “wants to come out.” The movie will be directed by Steven Spielberg with no involvement from co-creator George Lucas, who has stepped away from major studio filmmaking after selling Lucasfilm to Disney. When asked if he might be passing the famous rumpled hat and whip to another actor when he retires from the role, Ford threw out a surprising name after saying that “nobody else is gonna be Indiana Jones.”

When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy. Get it in here. This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pines [sic], ‘I’m sorry, man.’

You can watch the entire interview over at Today. Look for Ford’s comments about Indiana Jones 5 at around 3:50.
