NYCC 2020: Teaser Trailer for Robert Kirkman’s Invincible Adult Animated Series
The Walking Dead is the multi-media phenomenon that Robert Kirkman is mostly widely known for and will likely always be remembered for, but in comic book circles he is equally well known for his long-running Invincible comic book series for Image Comics. The series follows the adventures of 17-year-old high school student Mark Grayson, who develops super powers inherited from his alien-superhero father, Omni-Man, and becomes a superhero himself. For over 140 issues, Mark/Invincible battled supervillains, monster and aliens in a world reminiscent of both the Marvel and DC Universes and now his adventures will be coming to the small screen courtesy of a new adult-oriented Amazon Prime Video original animated series.
Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) is just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
Debuting on Prime Video in 2021.
