Fantastic Fan Theory Ties the Illuminati in Doctor Strange 2 to Thanos’ Iconic Weapon

Considering how many Marvel fans and entertainment sites analyzed, scrutinized, and dissected Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s truly amazing that something as potentially significant as the little nugget discovered by Movie Nooz-tangential uberfan BlackWolf (shout out to Ralph Bakshi‘s Wizards!).

While most of us were fixated on the introduction of the 838 Universe‘s Illuminati, Reed Richards (John Krasinski) of the Fantastic Four, and Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) of the X-Men — the regular MCU we all know and love is the 616 Universe — BlackWolf connected the dots in the Illuminati’s story about the fate of the 838 Doctor Strange and the 838 Thanos to theorize that the Illuminati used the Book of the Vishanti to either find or create the vibranium-forged Double-Edged Sword that the 616 Thanos (Josh Brolin) wielded in Avengers: Endgame:

Stephen renounced the Darkhold’s evil and helped us find The Book of the Vishanti, a weapon we did use together to defeat Thanos.
