Community’s Alison Brie Rumored for She-Hulk Role on Disney+
After fans started buzzing about Disney possibly looking for an “Alison Brie-type” to play Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, in a new Disney+ series, the social media deluge prompted the actress herself to comment on the rumors. Brie said that she found the buzz “very exciting” because the Community and GLOW star has only been asked to audition for “Anne Hathaway type or the Zooey Deschanel type” of roles.
There still is no official word from Marvel, Disney or the actress herself, but recent reports citing multiple sources claim Disney has offered the role to Brie and Brie has “agreed to a deal.”
The series was supposed going to begin filming in August with an intended release on Disney+ in 2022, but the current status and schedule are unknown.
