Ryan Reynolds Might Go Pansexual in Deadpool 2

Besides the fourth wall-breaking and awesome slow-mo action that often included wounds to rather sensitive organs and orifices, the Deadpool movie stood apart from its comic book contemporaries by showing a hero who is much more sexual than his predecessors. While movie fans might have been surprised by some of the scenes, comic book fans were actually a bit disappointed that director Tim Miller didn’t take the sex scenes even further as Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is pansexual in the comics.

While he didn’t offer any specifics, new director David Leitch (John Wick) revealed in a recent interview that pretty much anything from the comic books is fair game when it comes to Deadpool, thanks in large part to fan support.

Everything in the Deadpool world is possible. It’s such a crazy universe to play in, but I can’t comment about where we’re gonna go. That’s what’s fun about Deadpool, you really don’t know and you’re willing to ask these questions about him. I think that, right there, says it all. How often do you have a character where you could even have these discussions?

Leitch also commented on the highly-unlikely rumor that the old man who died in the Deadpool 2 teaser was actually Spider-Man’s Uncle Ben.

That’s a really interesting question. I think that people should continue to theorize who that old man was.

Deadpool 2 was written by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Ryan Reynolds and Drew Goddard. The cast includes Reynolds in the title role, Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Stefan Kapacic as Colossus, with Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie UggamsShioli KutsunaKaran Soni and Jack Kesy in supporting roles.

Deadpool 2 is slated for release on June 1, 2018.
