New Teaser Trailer for Sci-Fi Thriller Replicas Starring Keanu Reeves

The August 24th release date of Keanu Reeves‘ new sci-fi thriller has come and gone, but there hasn’t been a word about Replicas. That is, until today, when a new teaser trailer was released for the movie containing all-new footage, but no hint of an explanation for the delay, or when it will be released. Still, this looks very interesting and Reeves is on a bit of a roll right now following his successful John Wick movies, the third chapter of which is currently in post-production.

Neuro-scientist William Foster (Keanu Reeves) is on the verge of successfully transferring human consciousness into a computer when his family is tragically killed in a car crash. Desperate to resurrect them, William recruits fellow scientist Ed Whittle (Thomas Middleditch) to help him secretly clone their bodies and create replicas. But he soon faces a ‘Sophie’s choice’ when it turns out that they can only bring three of the four family members back to life.

Replicas was directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Chad St. John wrote the screenplay from a story by Stephen Hamel. Alice Eve, John Ortiz, Nyasha Hatendi, Emjay Anthony and Emily Alyn Lind also star.

The movie still does not have a release date.
