Deadpool 2 Gets a Crazy Synopsis and a Heaven-Sent Banner Poster

So far, at least, the purchase of 21st Century Fox’s film rights by Disney has not tempered Ryan Reynolds‘ passion for marketing Deadpool 2 as the weird, wild, irreverent and raunchy sequel we all hope that it will be. Here’s the absolutely bonkers synopsis for the movie:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

And, here’s an irreverent new banner poster heralding the “second coming” of Deadpool, who is portrayed as Adam to Cable’s (Josh Brolin) God in a parody of Michelangelo’s iconic Sistine Chapel painting.

Deadpool 2 was directed by David Leitch (John Wick) from a script by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Reynolds and Drew Goddard.
