Action-Packed Teaser Trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure

The third and final installment of the Maze Runner film series was almost derailed when lead actor Dylan O’Brien was hospitalized after experiencing serious “injuries to his face” during on on-set accident in March 2016. The production was shut down for a full year to allow O’Brien to recover, but wrapped without further incident in early June of this year. Now, we finally have our first look at the last chapter of the series, which follows Thomas (O’Brien) and the Gladers as they attempt to break into the labyrinth that is the Last City to find a cure for the Flare.

Wes Ball, who made his directorial debut with the 2014 movie and directed the 2015 sequel The Scorch Trials, helmed The Death Cure. The screenplay was written by T.S. Nowlin, who adapted it from the young adult books of the same name by James Dashner. Barry Pepper, Kaya Scodelario, Patricia Clarkson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Espositio, Aidan Gillen, Ki Hong Lee and Will Poulter also star.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure opens in theaters on January 26, 2018.
