Super Troopers Sequel Gets Release Date and Synopsis

We just learned two weeks ago that the Broken Lizard comedy troupe had finally completed post-production on the long-awaited sequel to Super Troopers and now we have learned the all-too-appropriate release date — perhaps the plot of the much-talked-about Beerfest sequel, Potfest, has been cannibalized to make this sequel? — and been given a synopsis that doesn’t tell us a whole lot about the movie, except that everyone we care about is back for the sequel and we should expect more of the same from the best/worst troopers to ever hit the road.

Everyone’s favorite law enforcement team is back by popular demand with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic…’Super Troopers.’ When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers – Mac (Steve Lemme), Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Foster (Paul Soter), Rabbit (Erik Stolhanske), and Farva (Kevin Hefferman) –are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area.
