Super Powered Children are Hunted in Trailer for The Darkest Minds
After a disease kills 98% of America’s children, the surviving 2% develop superpowers and are placed in internment camps. A 16-year-old girl escapes her camp and joins a group of other teens on the run from the government.
Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda 2 & 3) directed the movie from a script by Chad Hodge. It is based on Alexandra Bracken‘s YA novel of the same name. The cast includes Amandla Stenberg, Harris Dickinson, Mandy Moore, Gwendoline Christie, Wallace Langham, Mark O’Brien, Golden Brooks, Patrick Gibson, Catherine Dyer and Skylan Brooks.
The Darkest Minds opens in theaters on August 3rd.
