Aquaman Movie Adds Randall Park in Reshoots

A very important character in the current comic book mythology of Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, has just been added to the cast of the live-action movie, which is currently in reshoots. Director James “Creepy Puppet” Wan revealed the news on Twitter when he posted a photo of himself with Randall Park (Snatched) and the hashtag #DrShin.

In the comics, Dr. Stephen Shin was a marine biologist who helped Arthur control and develop his Atlantean powers in childhood. Dr. Shin eventually turned sinister when he became obsessed with Atlantis and Atlantean technology and even threatened to kill Arthur if he wouldn’t reveal the undersea kingdom’s location.

Here’s the tweet:

Aquaman was written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad) from a story by Wan and Geoff Johns. The cast include Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman’s half-brother, Orm; Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father, Thomas Curry; Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, science advisor to the throne of Atlantis; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Aquaman’s archenemy, Black Manta; Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus of the undersea kingdom of Xebel; Julian Lewis Jones as the king of Atlantis; and Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother, Queen Atlanna.

Aquaman is opens in theaters on December 21st.

Pretty sure I read that storyline with Dr. Shin. Good addition.
