Adam Warlock Will Finally Arrive in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

In the comic books, Adam Warlock, originally known as Him, is forever tied to Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet so it’s always been somewhat surprising that he won’t be a part of The Avengers: Infinity War movie that will pit the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe against the Mad Titan. His absence from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thus far — unless you count that weird cocoon we saw in The Collector’s (Benicio del Toro), er, collection — is especially striking considering the artificial human Her/Ayesha/Kismet (Elizabeth Debicki) that was created after Adam Warlock went mad is a major character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Well, good news, Marvel Zombies, Adam Warlock is coming! In a recent interview with Marvel President Kevin Feige, the former leader of the Infinity Watch will be a major player in the next phase of the MCU.

He’s not in ‘Infinity War.’ But he will be a part of the future Marvel cosmic universe and a pretty important part of that.

After that pretty vague response, Feige later specified: “If he appears anywhere in the future, it’ll be in Guardians.”

The Avengers: Infinity War is slated to open on May 4, 2018.
